🌿 Fresh Herbs — Spring & Summer

Kitchen herbs in pots, ready to snip from spring through summer.

🌿 Basil — Sweet Genovese basil for pesto, sauce and Caprese. Full sun; plant out once nights stay above 50°F. Pinch off flower buds so the leaves stay sweet, and never refrigerate the leaves. Small and large plants.

🌲 Rosemary — Fragrant, piney and perfect with chicken, lamb, potatoes and bread. Full sun and dry, well-drained soil. Not winter-hardy here — grow it in a pot and bring it indoors to a sunny window before frost.

Also: sage, oregano, thyme, parsley, cilantro and dill as the season allows.

Harvest often — it keeps herbs bushy and productive all season.

🍄 Mushroom Logs — Grow Your Own (Coming Soon)

Hardwood logs inoculated with mushroom spawn — set one in a shady corner of the yard and harvest fresh, homegrown mushrooms for years.

🍄 Shiitake — rich, savory and meaty; the classic log-grown mushroom. A log fruits on and off for 3–5 years.

🍄 Oyster — tender, mild and fast to fruit; great sautéed, in soups and stir-fries.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR LOG

• Keep it in full shade — under trees, on the north side of a building or under shade cloth — off the ground on a brick or pallet.

• Keep it moist: water or soak it during dry spells. The bark should never dry out completely.

• Force a flush: once the log is established, soak it in cold water for 12–24 hours to trigger a crop. Pins show up in 3–5 days, and mushrooms are usually ready to pick 7–12 days after the soak.

• Harvest when caps open but before the edges flatten and curl up. Let the log rest 6–8 weeks between soakings.

⚠️ Eat only mushrooms you can positively identify, and always cook them thoroughly. See our Food Safety & Disclaimers.

Message us or tap Special Requests to get on the list — we'll let you know as soon as logs are ready.
