Our half-acre pond is home to catfish, largemouth bass and bluegill, and every fall we stock it with trout for the spring catch.

🐟 101 rainbow trout, about 11–13 inches at stocking, from an Ohio fish hatchery — arriving the week of October 19

🐠 Golden shiners go in with them as forage, and we feed a quality fish feed in the cool fall and spring weather, when trout eat and grow the most

🌱 By spring they’ll be ready for the catch
